Our History
Florida Chiropractor has been serving residents of St Petersburg, St Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole for over 20 years. Formerly known as The Hartley Chiropractic Center, the clinic was purchased by Dr. David Sandefur from Dr. T.G. Hartley in 2002. Dr David A. Sandefur, D.C. has practiced at the St. Pete location since graduating from chiropractic college in 1996.
Dr. Sandefur, a long time Seminole resident, purchased the Seminole Chiropractic Clinic in 2005, from Dr. Paul Tilka, who had been practicing at this location for 35 years. Although initial arrangements with Dr. Tilka were for a part-time sharing of the clinic, Dr. Tilka decided to retire earlier due to health reasons and thus sold the clinic to Dr. Sandefur.
With Florida Chiropractor now extended to two locations, Dr. Sandefur will continue to care for his St Pete patients and direct both clinics, while the Florida Chiropractor's Seminole branch will be headed by Dr. Jaime Kean, a veteran chiropractor already member of the Florida Chiropractor team.
