David A. Sandefur, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Sandefur received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990 from the University of Kansas. He graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City, Missouri, in 1996. He holds licenses to practice chiropractic in Kansas, Ohio and Florida. Dr. Sandefur is an active member of the Florida Chiropractic Association, Florida Chiropractic Society and Pinellas County Chiropractic Society. He serves on the Board of the Pinellas County Chiropractic Society and was the President of this association in 2007. He holds a post-graduate certificate in impairment rating designation and in this regard has served as an expert witness in several chiropractic related cases and trials. He and his wife, Kelli, have two young daughters and live in Seminole, Florida.
Dr. Jaime Kean
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Jaime Kean is a graduate of Ohio University and National College of Chiropractic in Chicago. She is a native Ohioan but like most of us, loves the Florida climate. She is an active member of the Pinellas County Chiropractic Society, the Florida Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Kean has recently participated in a course to gain expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of whiplash injuries. She is actively involved with the Seminole Chamber of Commerce. She has been practicing at Florida Chiropractor of Seminole since the summer of 2004.
Dr. Chris Bretz, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic
r. Chris Bretz grew up in Venice, FL, completed his undergrad in Gainesville and graduated from Life University College of Chiropractic in 2002. After graduation he interned at Florida Chiropractor for a short time before accepting a position as a clinic director and eventual owner in Boston. Dr. Chris will be the first to tell you that the weather prompted his return. "I'm a Florida native. I don't know what I was thinking moving to Boston. I remember driving down the freeway at ten miles per hour, having to stop every few minutes to get out and pull the ice off of the windshield wipers. I couldn't wait to get back here." Dr. Bretz returned to Florida Chiropractor of St. Petersburg in the summer of 2005. He is active in the Pinellas County Chiropractic Society and the Florida Chiropractic Association. He is presently completing certified courses in whiplash diagnosis and treatment.
Beth Widell
Receptionist
Beth is the voice of Florida Chiropractor. Chances are, when you call our office, you will be greeted by her helpful and friendly words of welcome. She will answer all of your questions and make you feel good about your decision to try Florida Chiropractor. Her infectious smile and cheerful attitude rub off on everyone who is around her giving our office a "feel-good" atmosphere - which is exactly the theme we are promoting at Florida Chiropractor. She spends her free time with her husband and young son whom obviously contribute to her chronic good mood. When you talk to her, let her know you read about her on the web.
Audrey Lockhart
Licensed Massage Therapist
Our massage therapist, Audrey may look young but she already has a few years of massage experience. She worked as a therapist at a local fitness center before coming to our office in September 2004 and since then has been getting raves from all of her patients, who keep her schedule booked up for weeks in advance.
Jamie Bourgholtzer
Receptionist
Jamie is a student at St. Petersburg College and is studying life sciences and environmental studies. She has been a licensed Esthetician and has worked on skin for several years. She hopes to pursue a career in the health care field. She also enjoys arts & crafts and spending lots of time with her young son. We have appreciated her talents in patient communication and insurance relations.
Sarah Lynch
Chiropractic Assistant
Sarah is a student at St. Petersburg College where she is pursuing general studies towards a future in chiropractic. She was born in England and moved to Florida when she was three years old. She likes to surf, skateboard and travel when she isn't studying or helping with all aspects of patient care in our office.
Cheryl Lily
Licensed Massage Therapist
Cheryl Lily, L.M.T., massage therapist extraordinaire, told us she loves helping patients at Florida Chiropractor and enjoys working alongside Dr. Kean in Seminole. She has lived in St. Pete with her husband since 1980 and has two grown sons. She says, "Using massage therapy to help patients heal from their injuries is a very fulfilling call for me."
Rebeka Slozak
Licensed Massage Therapist
ebeka moved to Florida in September, 2007, from Western Massachusetts. The beautiful weather attracted her to the area. She tells us that she saw our Florida Chiropractor website and said to herself, "That looks like a fun place to work”. We anxiously accepted her application. Her upbeat and positive attitude was a great fit here at Florida Chiropractor. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She is a big Red Sox and Patriot's fan. She considers herself very health oriented. She goes to the gym every morning at 4:30 am and she eats only healthy whole foods. She is experienced in deep tissue massage, myofacial release, trigger point therapy and Swedish Massage.
Dr. Paul Tilka
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Tilka practiced at the Seminole Chiropractic Clinic for over 30 years. He is a Seminole resident and graduate of Seminole High School. He attended chiropractic school at Chicago's National University of Health Sciences. After retiring from active practice in December of 2004, Dr. Tilka has remained as a consultant to Florida Chiropractor.
